Indian team breaks National Record in 4x100m mixed relay at World Athletics Relays 2026
The Indian team broke the 4x100m mixed relay National Record at the ongoing World Athletics Relays 2026 during the event’s heats on Sunday.
The quartet of Ragul Kumar, Nithya Gandhe, Animesh Kujur, and Sneha SS clocked 41.35s to better the previous record, which stood at 42.30s, which was set by Lalu Prasad, Unnathi Aiyappa, Harita Bhadra and Jayaram D during the Open Relay tournament in Chandigarh in March.
While the National Record was rewritten, the timing wasn’t enough to book the Indians a spot in the final as they finished sixth in their heat, and 10th overall.
