Amol Muzumdar, Naval Singh given Coach of the Year award at Sportstar Aces 2026
Amol Muzumdar and Naval Singh were given Coach of the Year award at the Sportstar Aces 2026, held in Mumbai on Friday.
Indian women team’s bowling coach, Aavishkar Salvi, received the award on behalf of Muzumdar.
While Muzumdar guided the Indian women’s cricket team to its maiden ODI World Cup triumph, Naval helped Sachin Yadav begin his international javelin throw journey on a high.
Muzumdar’s leadership was marked by tactical clarity, calm execution under pressure, and an unwavering belief in his players, helping the team overcome early setbacks and peak when it mattered most. Muzumdar’s inspirational messaging — including a now celebrated rallying speech before the final — strengthened the team’s confidence and unity, allowing them to produce a commanding performance in the title match.
