Swiss Open 2026: Satwik-Chirag concede walkover in quarterfinal

India’s men’s doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty crashed out of the Swiss Open 2026 quarterfinals on Friday after giving a walkover win to Christian Kjaer and Rasmus Kjaer of Denmark.

The reason for the Indian pair not taking the court was not known.

The top-seeded Indians had endured a 74-minute round of 16 match on Thursday where they defeated Okamura and Yamashita of Japan. Earlier in the first round, Satwik and Chirag had overcome the Indonesian pair of Koh and Kubo.

Their exit leaves Tharun Mannepalli as the only Indian in the reckoning. The 24-year-old faces Anthony Ginting in the last-eight later on Friday.
