IND vs ENG Highlights, 3rd Test: Jaiswal hundred, Siraj four-for put India ahead of England on Day 3

England started the day on the top. It had a free-stroking Duckett out in the middle, and had the cream of its batting left in store. But inexplicably, the English batters lost the plot, crashing from 224/2 to 319 all-out, thanks to a mix of calamitous shot selection and incisive bowling. To its credit, India was relentless, with Kuldeep and Siraj being the pick of the bowlers.

Indian batters ensured the advantage seized by their bowlers wasn’t surrendered. Jaiswal started slow, but then zoomed away with a string of boundaries, eventually reaching the three-figure mark. Gill backed up Jaiswal’s knock with a chanceless fifty. India now has a lead of 322 and if it plays its cards right on Day 4, it can ascertain a win and a series lead.
