WTT Feeder 2026: Kutumbale, Sutirtha enter semis in style
Anusha Kutumbale and Sutirtha Mukherjee emerged as giant-killers as the duo stormed into the women’s singles semifinal of the WTT Feeder international table tennis tournament here on Saturday.
Kutumbale, the Indore girl, stunned sixth seed Lee Zion of Korea in the round of 16 before packing off fourth seed Yashaswini Ghorpade in the quarterfinal later in the evening. Olympian Sutirtha created the biggest upset of the tournament as she stunned top seed Yang Ha Eun in four games in 33 minutes. Sutirtha’s powerful forehand strokes proved to be too awkward for Yang to handle.
In the men’s singles, seventh seed Payas Jain’s forehand top-spins were too hot to handle for fourth seed Edward Ly of Canada as the Indian entered the last four in 35 minutes.
