World Para Athletics Championships 2025, September 29: Indian results and medals on Day 3
Rinku Hooda and Sundar Singh Gurjar took India’s medal tally to five with a top two finish in the Men’s Javelin Throw F46 event at the World Para Athletics Championships in New Delhi on Monday.
A total of eight Indians were in action on the third day at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium but before the javelin event, the closest anyone came to clinching a medal was Dayawanti who finished fourth in Women’s Discus Throw F64.
Rinku grabbed gold with a Championship Record throw of 66.37m while Sundar clinched silver with 64.76m. It could have been a podium sweep for India but Ajeet Singh finished fourth with a best throw of 61.77m.
India has won two gold, two silver and one bronze medal at the ongoing edition of the World Championships.
