World Para Athletics Championships 2025, October 4: Indian results and medals on Day 8
India bagged three more medals on Saturday at the World Para Athletics Championships in New Delhi.
Ekta Bhyan clinched a silver in women’s club throw F51 while Praveen Kumar (men’s high jump T64) and Soman Rana (men’s shot put F57) both bagged bronze medals.
Chakkungalparambil set a new Asian Record of 5.74m but missed out on a medal as she finished fourth in the women’s long jump T47 event.
A total of 11 Indians were in action on the penultimate day at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
India has won 18 medals – six gold, six silver, and six bronze – at the ongoing edition of the World Championships.
