World Para Athletics Championship 2025: Sandip, Sandeep make it Indian one-two in Men’s Javelin Throw F44
Sandip Sanjay Sargar and Sandeep Chaudhary made it an Indian one-two in the Men’s Javelin Throw F44, taking the host’s medal tally to eight at the World Para Athletics Championships in New Delhi on Tuesday.
Sargar bagged gold by matching his Personal Best of 62.82m while Chaudhary took silver with a Season’s Best of 62.67m at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
Edenilson Roberto of Brazil clinched a bronze with a throw of 62.36m, a World Record for the F42 category.
Pushpendra Singh (61.94m) and Mahendra Gurjar (57.84m), the other two Indians in the fray, finished fourth and seventh respectively.
India has won three gold, four silver and one bronze medals at the ongoing edition which concludes on October 5.
