World Champion Gukesh to participate in Norway Chess 2026


Reigning Chess World Champion D. Gukesh will take part in the Norway Chess 2026 held in Oslo in May this year.

The 19-year-old will join a strong field of participants, including defending champion Magnus Carlsen. Gukesh, the youngest undisputed world champion in history, finished third in the Open section last year.

“I am really happy to take part in Norway Chess again, fighting against a very strong field as always, and looking forward to all the exciting games,” said Gukesh.
