The 2025 edition of the World Athletics Championships is set to begin in Tokyo on Saturday. The opening day will feature five medal events.

In the morning session, titles in men’s 35km race walk and women’s 35km race walk will be up for grabs.

In the evening session, men’s shot put, women’s 10,000m and mixed 4x400m relay finals will take place.
