Women’s Hockey Asia Cup 2025 — India squad announced, Salima Tete named captain, full schedule
Hockey India, on Thursday, announced the 20-member squad for the upcoming Women’s Asia Cup 2025, scheduled in Hangzhou, China, from September 5 to 14, 2025.
The winner of the Women’s Asia Cup will earn a direct qualification for the FIH Women’s Hockey World Cup 2026.
Salima Tete will lead India, with the squad featuring a mix of youth and experience. The team has been drawn in Pool B, where it will face Japan, Thailand, and Singapore. The team will open its campaign against Thailand, followed by clashes with Japan and Singapore.

Defenders: Manisha Chauhan, Udita, Jyoti, Suman Devi Thoudam, Nikki Pradhan, Ishika Chaudhary
