Puneri Paltan fought off the Dabang Delhi K.C. bravely to secure an impressive 6-5 win after the match was tied at 38-38 at the Thyagaraj Stadium on Sunday night. It was an important victory that took it to the top of the standings on points difference after an all-round performance from the Paltan, led by Pankaj Mohite (7) and skipper Aslam Inamdar (6).
It was also the 10th tie-breaker of the season as Ajinkya Pawar’s Super 10 and Saurabh Nandal’s High Five went in vain.
The win allows Puneri Paltan to leapfrog Dabang Delhi to occupy top spot in the league. Both teams have already qualified for the next round.

Led by another brilliant performance from Alireza Mirzaian, Bengaluru Bulls secured a massive 43-32 win over the Bengal Warriorz. Alireza scored 18 points, while Deepak Sankar scored a High Five in what was its third straight win as the side coached by BC Ramesh moved to fourth on the points table. Meanwhile, Devank Dalal’s 13th straight Super 10 went in vain yet again.
Bengal Warriorz remain eleventh in the table as a result of this defeat.
