Gujarat Giants rode on the performances of Mohammadreza Shadloui and Ankit Dahiya to secure a comfortable 33-27 win over the UP Yoddhas at the SDAT Multi-Purpose Indoor Stadium in Chennai on Monday. The Yoddhas’ Bhavani Rajput chipped in with some important points, but his efforts went in vain as the Giants clinched a much-needed victory to end its five-match losing streak.
Gujarat Giants remains bottom of the league despite its victory, while UP Yoddhas is in seventh position as part of a tightly-packed middle section of the table.

Dabang Delhi K.C. eked out another close victory, beating Haryana Steelers 38-37. In a match befitting the opening day of the Chennai leg, Dabang Delhi were in control, courtesy of Ashu Malik’s Super 10. However, a late fightback in the final quarter nearly gave the Steelers the victory, as Jaideep’s High Five and Vinay’s 18 points went in vain.
The victory extends Dabang Delhi’s lead at the top of the table, while Haryana Steelers remains in third position, two points clear of Telugu Titans in fourth.
