Thomas and Uber Cup 2026 Draw: Indians get tricky group-stage opponents

The draw for the Thomas and Uber Cup championships 2026, set to be held in Horsens, Denmark from April 24 to May 3, was held on Wednesday.

India’s men’s team was drawn in Group A alongside defending champion China, Ocenia champion Australia and PanAm champion Canada. The women’s team has a sterner challenge at its hand, facing China, European heavyweight Denmark and Ukraine.

The top two teams from the four groups will advance to the quarterfinals.

The men’s team, which had won the tournament in 2022, had been knocked out in the last-eight by eventual champion China last year. The women’s team had also qualified for the knockouts but lost to 0-3 Japan.
