Sultan Azlan Shah Cup 2025: India edges past Malaysia in seven-goal thriller
The Indian men’s hockey team defeated Malaysia 4-3 at the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup on Wednesday.
Selvam Karthi, Sukhjeet Singh, and Amit Rohidas all found the net for India, keeping pace with Malaysia’s offensive efforts led by Faizal Saari, Fitri Saari, and Marhan Jalil. However, the decisive moment arrived in the 53rd minute when Indian skipper Sanjay struck the winning goal.
This victory marks India’s second win in three pool stage matches.
