Schedule for men’s Hockey India Masters Cup announced; Punjab to take on Puducherry in opener on June 18
The inaugural season of the men’s Hockey India Masters Cup is set to begin on June 18 and run till June 27 in Chennai, the sport’s national federation announced on Tuesday.
“For the first time ever, legends of Indian hockey reunite on the turf to relive the glory and celebrate the spirit of the game,” HI said in a post on social media.
Punjab will take on Puducherry in the opener at Mayor Radhakrishnan hockey stadium.

A player must be aged 40 and above to compete in the men’s competition, which will follow a league-cum-knockout format, with pools structured based on the final number of participating teams.
The event will feature eleven men’s teams divided into three pools of three and one pool of two.
