PKL 2025: Shadloui’s Gujarat Giants, Bengaluru Bulls record first wins of the campaign
Mohammadreza Shadloui-led Gujarat Giants beat Tamil Thalaivas 37-28 to record its first win of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) 2025 season on Saturday at the Viswanadh Sports Club in Visakhapatnam.
All-rounder Shadloui notched up six points while his teammate Nitin Panwar top-scored for the Giants with eight points. For the Thalaivas, skipper Pawan Sehrawat bagged the most points for his side (6) on the night, with raider Arjun Deshwal adding five points to the Tamil side’s tally.
Earlier in the day, Bengaluru Bulls opened its account and recorded its first win of the 2025 Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) season after beating last year’s finalist Patna Pirates 38-30.
A day after losing badly against U Mumba, the Bulls rode on Alireza Mirzaian’s Super 10 and Aashish Malik’s eight points to defeat its opponent. For the Pirates, Ayan Lochba too notched up a Super 10, and Sudhakar M contributed six points, but last year’s runner-up remained winless this season.
