PKL 2025: Dabang Delhi steals last-gasp victory over Jaipur Pink Panthers, Telugu Titans strolls past Bengal Warriorz
A last-minute error from Nitin Kumar handed Dabang Delhi a third consecutive victory against Jaipur Pink Panthers at the Viswanadh Sports Club in Visakhapatnam. Earlier in the day, Telugu Titans registered a resounding home victory against Bengal Warriors to continue its winning run.
Vijay and Bharat star for impressive Telugu Titans
Vijay Malik and Bharat Hooda registered Super 10s, while Ankit led the defensive charge with a High Five for Telugu Titans. For Bengal Warriorz, Nitesh Kumar registered a High Five, while Devank Dalal completed his Super 10, scoring 13 points to become the fastest player in PKL history to register 50 raid points in a season.
After taking an early lead, Telugu Titans quickly opened up a significant lead over the Warriorz, stretching it as far as 18 points at one stage. Bengal Warriorz managed a few late points but they were nothing more than consolation as the Titans were good value for the victory.
The victory pushed Telugu Titans up to fourth position in the points table. Bengal Warriorz is currently languishing in eighth place.
Nitin’s late error hands Dabang Delhi victory
It was a night for Ashu Malik yet again, who scored 21 points, while Nitin Kumar and Sahil Satpal’s Super 10s went in vain after a schoolboy error from the former. It was a match that swung back and forth between both sides, and going into the final stages of the match, there was barely anything in it.
With two minutes left, Nitin Kumar produced another successful raid to make it 33-33. Panthers’ defence then delivered an important tackle on Ashu Malik to go ahead 34-33, and soon after, they added another point to lead 35-34 with only nine seconds left.
But the match took a dramatic turn in the final raid. Nitin Kumar committed a costly mistake after failing to successfully cross the baulk line, handing Dabang Delhi two points via a Super Tackle. That error sealed the game, as Dabang Delhi edged out the Jaipur Pink Panthers 36-35 in a thrilling finish.
Dabang Delhi lies third in the table on points difference, but remains unbeaten from its three games thus far. Jaipur Pink Panthers, meanwhile, sits in seventh place.
