PKL 2025: Coach Narender-led Jaipur Pink Panthers haunts his former side Patna Pirates; Ashu-powered Dabang Delhi beats Bengaluru Bulls
Coach Narender Redhu guided his team Jaipur Pink Panthers to kick off its Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) 2025 season with a 39-36 win over his former side Patna Pirates at the Viswanadh Sports Club in Visakhapatnam on Tuesday.
Nitin Kumar Dhankar starred for the Panthers with 13 points and Iran’s Ali Samadi Choubtarash pitched in with crucial eight points. Raider Maninder Singh’s 15 points on the night, however, went in vain for the Pirates with Ayan Lochba, one of the best players from last edition, only managing six points. Sudhakar M was a bright spot for the Pirates as the towering raider bagged nine points.
Earlier in the day, a dominant Dabang Delhi K. C. secured an impressive 41-34 win over Bengaluru Bulls.
A late fightback from the Bulls wasn’t enough, as Ashu Malik’s 15 points, Neeraj Narwal’s seven, and strong defensive efforts from the trio of Surjeet Singh, Fazel Atrachali and Saurabh Nandal sealed the win for Delhi. Alireza Mirzaian’s Super 10 was the only highlight for the Bulls.
After opening its campaign with a win, Delhi now sits in fifth place with Bengaluru Bulls languishing in ninth place after suffering back-to-back defeats.
