Oman replaces Pakistan in Men’s Junior Hockey World Cup 2025

Oman has earned a late entry into the FIH Hockey Men’s Junior World Cup, stepping in for Pakistan, which has turned down its invitation to the tournament.

The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) notified the International Hockey Federation (FIH) of its decision not to take part in the tournament, despite having qualified through the Asia Junior Cup 2024. As a result, Oman, the next highest-placed team from the continental event, will fill the vacant spot.

The Junior World Cup will be held from November 28 to December 10, 2025, across the Indian cities of Chennai and Madurai.

This edition will also mark a landmark moment for world hockey, as both the men’s and women’s Junior World Cups will feature 24 teams each for the first time.

The previous men’s edition, held in Kuala Lumpur in 2023, was won by Germany.
