MotoGP 2025: Buenos Aires to host race from 2027

The Argentine Grand Prix is set to have a new home in Buenos Aires from 2027, MotoGP organisers announced on Monday.

The race was held this year at the Autodromo Termas De Rio Hondo track in Termas De Rio Hondo, but will be shifted to the Autodromo Oscar y Juan Galvez just outside Buenos Aires from 2027.

“The Autodromo Oscar y Juan Gálvez, which will be fully renovated and track layout updated, already hosted MotoGP in the 60s, 80s and 90s, welcoming legends of the sport and staging some spectacular showdowns,” MotoGP said in a statement.

“The record Argentina crowds of recent editions can now look forward to even more stunning action as we return to race against the backdrop of its capital city, Buenos Aires,” it added.

In this year’s Argentina GP, Ducati’s Marc Marquez took top honours after trailing his brother Alex of Gresini Racing for much of the race as the pair finished in the top two, while VR46 Racing’s Franco Morbidelli was third.
