Mahendra Gurjar breaks own World Record in Men’s F42 Javelin
Mahendra Gurjar broke the World Record in the men’s F42 javelin once again at the Indian Open International Para Athletics Championships, which took place on July 11 and 12 in Bengaluru.
He threw a massive 63.16m, bettering his previous WR of 61.17m that he had set at the Nottwil World Para Athletics Grand Prix in Switzerland earlier this year.
Gurjar is the third Rajasthani para-javelin thrower to achieve the feat, joining the likes of Paralympic medallist Devendra Jhajharia and Sundar Singh Gurjar.
F42 is for field athletes with movement moderately affected in one leg.
