Lakshya Sen enters semifinals at India Open 2026


Local hope Lakshya Sen’s campaign at the India Open 2026 came to an end on Friday in New Delhi after losing to Chinese Taipei’s Lin Chun-yi, thereby bringing the curtains down on the Indian challenge.

Lakshya won the first game but lost the next two to suffer a 21-17, 13-21, 18-21 loss.

Local hope Lakshya Sen advanced to the men’s singles semifinals at the India Open 2026 on Friday in New Delhi after beating Chinese Taipei’s Lin Chun-yi in straight games.

The last time the 24-year-old reached the last-four stage on the BWF Tour was last November in the Australian Open, a Super 500 tournament, which he went on to win.
