Japan Masters: Lakshya Sen enters quarterfinal after beating Jia Heng Jason Teh
Indian shuttler Lakshya Sen beat Singapore’s Jia Heng Jason Teh on Thursday to advance to the quarterfinals of the Japan Masters, a BWF World Tour Super 500 event taking place in Kumamoto City.
Seventh seed Lakshya took only 39 minutes to beat his opponent 21-11, 21-13.
In the previous round, Lakshya took down local hope and World No. 26 Koki Watanabe 21-12, 21-16
His compatriot, H.S. Prannoy, will be in action later in the day and will look to join Lakshya in the quarters when he faces Denmark’s Rasmus Gemke.
