ISSF Worlds: Aishwary Tomar wins silver, equals world record score in men’s 50m 3 positions qualifying


Indian shooter Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar won silver medal in the men’s 50m rifle 3 positions final in the ISSF World Shooting Championships in Cairo, Egypt, on Tuesday.

Aishwary shot an impressive 597-40x in qualification to match the world record mark, while compatriot Niraj Kumar also advanced to the final with a score of 592.

On Monday, India’s Samrat Rana made history by clinching the men’s 10m air pistol gold, while Varun Tomar claimed bronze.

India has 10 medals so far, with three golds. It also has four silver and three bronze medals.
