ISSF World Cup, Buenos Aires 2025: India finishes second as Lakshay-Neeru pair misses out on medal in mixed trap event


Lakshay Sheoran and Neeru shot a combined score of 142 in mixed trap and missed the chance to fight for a medal by one point in the ISSF World Cup that concluded in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The other Indian pair of Pragati Dubey and Prithviraj Tondaiman shot 136 and placed 13th.

Earlier, in men’s trap, Zoravar Singh Sandhu missed the final following a five-way shoot-off for the last spot, after being tied on 119. Walton Eller of USA beat Zoravar 10-9 to make the cut.

Prithviraj Tondaiman (117) and Lakshay Sheoran (116) had finished 16th and 21st respectively.

In women’s trap, Neeru was the best among the Indians and placed 12th with 115. Pragati Dubey (110) and Bhavya Tripath (106) placed 17th and 26th, respectively.

India finished second on the medals table with four gold, two silver and two bronze. China topped with five gold, three silver and three bronze.

While USA won two gold medals in a total of six, Australia, Hungary, Taiwan and Guatemala were the other countries to win a gold medal each.
