ISSF Shotgun World Cup: Abhay placed fifth in Nicosia after four rounds in Skeet


Abhay Singh Sekhon shot the second-best score of 98 out of 100 after four rounds and was placed fifth among 109 skeet shooters at the Shotgun World Cup in Nicosia, Cyprus, on Tuesday.

Olympian Mairaj Ahmad Khan (95) was in the 45th position while Ritu Raj Bundela (90) found himself in the 81st spot.

Competing in the RPO section, world record holder Angad Vir Singh Bajwa had 93. One more round will be shot on Wednesday, and the top six will compete in the final.

In women’s skeet, Maheshwari Chauhan (93) was in the 17th spot, four points behind the leaders. Parinaaz Dhaliwal (92) and Yashasvi Rathore (88) were in the 20th and 42nd position respectively, in a field of 53 shooters. Shooting in the RPO section, Agrima Kanwar had 86.
