India impresses at ISSF World Cup Final
Zorawar Singh Sandhu finished seventh in the men’s trap final with seven hits in first 10 targets, as India concluded an impressive campaign at ISSF World Cup Final with six medals, including two gold.
World Championship bronze medallist Zorawar was the only Indian representative on the concluding shotgun day at the Lusail Shooting complex.
Zorawar entered the final, which now comprises eight shooters instead of the earlier six as per new ISSF rules, with a score of 119 in qualifying, which gave him the sixth place over 125 targets.
In the 30-shot final, he could not get his act together and was among the first two, alongside Italian Giovanni Pellielo, to bow out.
China topped the standings ahead of India, with four gold and nine medals. USA with its double gold in men’s trap and skeet on the day, came third.

Delhi Capitals unveils DC School Cup to discover the next gen of cricket talent in Delhi
IPL and WPL franchise Delhi Capitals announced the DC School Cup, a new inter-school T20 tournament that will be organised to develop grassroot cricketers across the national capital.
The two-week competition will run from December 8 to 23 in the capital, with matches taking place at the GMR Aerocity Ground. The grand finale will be hosted at Delhi Capitals’ home venue, Arun Jaitley Stadium.
The inaugural edition will feature 18 schools from across Delhi competing for top honours across both boys’ and girls’ categories. This includes a dedicated girls’ tournament with four participating teams.
The standout performers from the both tournaments will earn a direct opportunity to participate in State-level trials.

The DC School Cup (Boys) will follow a T20 format, with 16 teams divided into four groups of four. Each team will play the others in its group in a round-robin format, with the top team from each group advancing to the semifinals, followed by the final.
A total of 27 matches will be played over 10 business days across two venues, with two matches per venue per day.
The standout performers from the both tournaments will earn a direct opportunity to participate in State-level trials.
Two schools will be fielding both boys’ and girls’ teams, with 16 schools participating in the boys’ category and four in the girls’ category.

India clinches gold at FEI Children’s Classic Silver Tour
India recorded an impressive victory at the FEI Children’s Classic – Silver Tour, securing the team gold medal in a competitive field of riders from Zone 9 countries.
The Indian team comprised Stasya Pandya, Sresht Mantena, Harshvardhan Singh Gulia, and Prithiv Krishna, who delivered steady and well-executed rounds to finish at the top of the leaderboard.

Shiv Shankar Prasad Chawrasia gave himself the best start in any IGPL event as he fired a steady 7-under 65 to take the first-round lead at IGPL UAE.
Playing at the Els Club in Dubai, Chawrasia, a six-time winner on the Asian Tour—four of those wins came in events co-sanctioned with the DP World Tour—had three birdies on the front nine and added four more on the back nine to take a two-shot lead over the red-hot Gaganjeet Bhullar, who shot 5-under 67, to be tied with teen star Kartik Singh, who also shot 67.
Without dropping a bogey, Bhullar birdied twice on the front nine on the seventh and the eighth. On the back nine, he picked up gains on the 11th, 13th, and 16th. Kartik dropped one shot against six birdies.
At 3-under were Hitaashee Bakshi, IGPL Mumbai winner Pranavi Urs, Karandeep Kochhar, Trishul Chinappa, and the evergreen M. Dharma.
Avani Prashanth, just coming off a successful LET season, during which she retained her playing rights for 2026, carded 1-under to be Tied-19, alongside Tushar Pannu, Harshjeet Sethie, Gaurav Ghei, and Sunhit Bishnoi, who is coming back from a wrist injury.
Tournament host Shiv Kapur carded 1-over 73 and was T-23.
Jeev Milkha Singh, runner-up in the MCB Mauritius on the European Legends Tour for Over-50s, had an action-packed round of 2-over 74 with five birdies against five bogeys and a late double bogey on the 17th. Jeev was Tied-33rd.
As many as 22 players shot under par at the challenging Els Club, where the IGPL is making its first international foray this week.
