FIDE Candidates 2026, which will determine the challenger for the World Chess title, continues on Monday, with an all-Indian clash in the women’s section in Round 2, as Divya Deshmukh faces R Vaishali.
In the Open section, India’s R Praggnanandhaa will take on China’s Wei Yi.
In the first round, Divya and Vaishali settled for draws, while Praggnanandhaa bettered higher-ranked Anish Giri with white pieces.
