Indian paddlers return with two runner-up finishes at WTT Contender Tunis 2026
Indian paddlers ended their campaign at the WTT Contender Tunis 2026 in Tunisia with two runner-up finishes which came in the men’s doubles and mixed doubles events.
On Saturday, the top-seeded pair of Manush Shah and Diya Chitale lost 1-3 (9-11, 13-11, 10-12, 5-11) to Spain’s second seed duo of Alvaro Rubles and Maria Xiao in the mixed doubles final. The match lasted a little over 30 minutes.
A day later, second-seeded pair of Manush, who usually plays with Manav Thakkar, and Harmeet Desai fell to a 1-3 loss (6-11, 11-9, 10-12, 7-11) to top seeds Florian Bourrassaud and Esteban Dorr of France in the men’s doubles summit clash. The contest lasted 33 minutes.
