German MotoGP 2025: Marc Marquez wins sprint despite bad start
Ducati’s Marc Marquez won a record-breaking 10th sprint of the MotoGP season at the German Grand Prix on Saturday despite a bad start at the Sachsenring, recovering to take the lead from Aprilia’s Marco Bezzecchi on the final lap.
Marquez dropped to fifth in the early stages of the sprint but carved his way through the pack before taking the chequered flag in wet conditions.

Yamaha’s Fabio Quartararo finished third to complete the podium while VR46 Racing’s Fabio Di Giannantonio and Pramac Racing’s Jack Miller rounded out the top five.
The victory helped Marquez to extend his championship lead to 78 points over his brother Alex, who finished eighth.
