Gabriela Dabrowski reveals she survived breast cancer in 2024

While Gabriela Dabrowski continued to chase titles, she was also fighting a battle outside tennis courts at the same time.

The Canadian, World No. 3 in doubles, revealed on Tuesday that she survived breast cancer in 2024.

Dabrowski is a three-time Grand Slam champion. She won mixed doubles titles at French Open 2017 (with India’s Rohan Bopanna) and Australian Open 2018 (with Croatia’s Mate Pavic), and women’s doubles crown at US Open 2023 (with New Zealand’s Erin Routliffe).

“How can something so small cause such a big problem? This is the question I asked myself when I was diagnosed with breast cancer back in mid-April. I know this will come as a shock to many, but I am okay and I will be okay,” wrote the 32-year-old in a long Instagram post.
