FIH Pro League 2025-26: India beats Australia 3-1 in shootout after 1-1 draw
India beat Australia 3-1 in the penalty shootout after their FIH Pro League 2025-26 match ended 1-1 in regulation time at the Tasmanian Hockey Centre in Hobart on Wednesday.
Jeremy Hayward gave the host nation the lead in the fourth quarter but saw it cancelled out just two minutes later, courtesy of a strike from Shilanand Lakra.
In the shootout, Shilanand, Maninder Singh and Vishnukant Singh scored for India while Hayward was the only one to convert for Australia.
Despite the result India remains eighth in the standings with four points from eight games.
