Dinesh Karthik announces retirement from all forms of cricket
India international Dinesh Karthik on Saturday announced his retirement from all forms of cricket.
“Having given it plenty of thought for sometime now, I have decided to move on from playing competitive cricket. I officially announce my retirement and put my playing days behind me as I square up for the new challenges that lie ahead,” Karthik announced in a social media post.
Karthik last played during the Indian Premier League in May for Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Karthik recieved a guard of honour from his teammates in the side’s final game that made the retirement announcement imminent.
