Asian Athletics Championships 2025 Day 5 Schedule: Indians in action; Animesh, Jyothi in 200m final; Women’s 4x100m relay team eyes podium


Ahead of the final day of the Asian Athletics Championships, India is placed second in the medals tally after the Day 4 of the tournament in Gumi, Korea.

India claimed three gold medals on Friday – Gulveer Singh (men’s 5000m), Pooja (women’s high jump) and Nandini Agasara (heptathlon). Parul Chaudhary added a silver with a National Record-breaking effort in the women’s 3000m steeplechase.

Indian athletes will take part in eight events on the final day in hopes of catching up with China, which sits atop the standings with 26 medals, including 15 golds.

Here’s the schedule for the Asian Athletics Championships Day 5 (Times in IST):

Women’s 200m final (Jyothi Yarraji) – 2:10 PM

Women’s 400m hurdles final (Vithya Ramraj, Anu Raghavan) – 2:20 PM

Women’s 5000m final (Parul Chaudhary, Sanjivani Jadhav) – 2:40 PM

Women’s 800m final (Pooja, Twinkle Chaudhary) – 3:20 PM

Men’s 800m final (Anu Kumar, Krishan Kumar) – 3:45 PM
