Asia Cup 2025: India thrashes Kazakhstan 15-0, finishes top of Pool A

India thrashed minnow Kazakhstan 15-0 at the Rajgir Sports Complex on Monday to finish its group-stage campaign unbeaten and on top of Pool A.

India was already through to the Super 4s, but did not shy away from flaunting its attacking might. Abhishek sounded the board four times, Sukhjeet Singh notched up a hat-trick while Jugraj Singh and captain Harmanpreet Singh bagged a brace each.

Dilpreet Singh, Amit Rohidas, Sanjay and Rajinder Singh also got on the scoresheet.

Even if they came against a much-lower-ranked opponent, coach Craig Fulton will take heart from India’s 11 field goals.

The home side and defending champion will face China, Malaysia and South Korea in the next round.
