AFI announces Indian squad for Asian Athletics Championships 2025
Neeraj Chopra, the reigning world champion in javelin throw, will not compete at the Asian Athletics Championships, set to be held from May 27 to 31 in Gumi, South Korea.
The squad, announced by the Athletics Federation of India on Friday following the conclusion of the Federation Cup in Kochi, did not have Tokyo Olympics gold medallist Neeraj’s name.
Neeraj is set to compete at the Neeraj Chopra Classic in Bengaluru on May 24.
