India vs Australia LIVE Score, Hockey 4th Test: Hayward equalises for AUS 1-1 vs IND in half-time

Sukhjeet fails to connect with Hardik inside the Australian circle. The Australian strikers do not make it easy for the Indians after intercepting to enter the Indian D and consecutively tries to score. Suraj saves Sharp’s shot, one of his many of the day. 

Hayward steps in with another penalty corner in hand, however, Suraj Karkera saves the PC and rebound effort.

Hayward back on pitch and Harmanpreet errs that leads to another Australian PC. This time, Hayward doesn’t make a mistake as he flicks on through Suraj Karkera as Australians equalise 1-1.

A stick tackle inside the Indian circle costs India a penalty corner as Sumit gets a green card. The defence manages to counter, running towards the Australian which doesn’t lead anywhere. 

Brand attempts to make a play in the circle, however, the ball is pushed away by the Indian defence.

Indians manage to not concede in the next three minutes of the quarter after taking a 1-0 lead.

Jake Whetton runs out of the field after his runup. And on the third consecutive PC attempt in a minute , Harmanpreet Singh SCORES FOR INDIA as he flicks the ball into the goal with a sound of a bang reverberating on the field !!!!

Australia changes the battery, but no change to the score as the Indians manage to steer clear of a Aussie goal.

Sukhjeet runs into the circle but is fouled by the Australian defence leading to an Indian penalty corner. Tim Brand is injured as Jugraj’s flick hits him straight. However, the Aussie manages to recover from the hit.

A mispass by the Indians inside the Australian circle leads to the Kookaburras possessing the ball.

Sumit defends the Aussie attack from Wickham and Hayward by pushing the ball away from the circle. 

Wickham wreaks havoc in the Indian D causing a consecutive penalty corners. Hayward fails to get the flick right and Sreejesh saves it despite some attempts to rebound by the Australian strikers.

Australia starts from the centreline, however, the Indians try to reverse the situation and thanks to their captain are able to do so. This leads to Mandeep Singh almost scoring but the Aussie ‘keeper saves it.

Both teams players enter the field for the fourth Test, following which the anthems of the nations are played.

The match has been delayed due to lightning. Due to this a 30 minute delay was enforced.

The 4th Test between Australia and India will be held at Perth on April 12, 2024 at 3:10 PM IST.

IND vs AUS, 3rd Test: Superb Sreejesh fails to save India from losing 1-2 against Australia

Veteran goalkeeper PR Sreejesh’s heroics went in vain as India squandered a goal lead to go down 1-2 against Australia in the third men’s hockey Test on Wednesday.
