Federation Cup 2026: Vishal TK breaks own 400m World Record


Vishal TK broke his own 400m National Record during the Federation Cup 2026 event at the Birsa Munda Athletics Stadium in Ranchi on Saturday.

The Tamil Nadu sprinter ran 44.98 to beat his previous mark of 45.12 at the National Inter-State Senior Athletics Championships 2025 in Chennai in August last year.

Vishal finished ahead of Rajesh Ramesh who recorded 45.31 and Jay Kumar who ran 45.47.

Vishal TK was part of the Indian relay teams that won the gold medal in the mixed 4x400m and silver in the men’s 4x400m at the Asian Athletics Championships 2025 in Gumi, Republic of Korea.

He had missed out on an individual medal in Gumi after finishing fourth in the men’s 400m with a time of 45.57s,
