Priyanka Goswami breaches Commonwealth Games 2026 qualifying standard in women’s 10,000m race walk

Commonwealth Games 2022 silver medallist Priyanka Goswami breached the qualifying standard for the 2026 edition in the women’s 10,000m race walking event.

Priyanka won gold at the Berlin Race Walking Championships with a timing of 43:49s, which was faster than the 44:44.58s-mark set by the Athletics Federation of India. The race walker received the medal from Peter Frenkel, the 1972 Berlin Olympics champion in the 20km race walk event.

The 2026 Commonwealth Games will kick off in Glasgow on July 23 and end on August 2.
