Kimi Antonelli becomes second-youngest race winner in F1 history
Mercedes’ Kimi Antonelli became the second-youngest Formula One race winner after triumphing at the Chinese Grand Prix on Sunday.
At 19 years, six months and 18 days, Antonelli is placed second on the youngest race-winners list, behind Max Verstappen, who won in Spain in 2016 at the age of 18 years, seven months and 15 days.
The Italian finished ahead of his teammate George Russell, while Lewis Hamilton secured third place, his first podium since joining Ferrari in 2025.
Antonelli also became the first Italian driver to win an F1 race since Giancarlo Fisichella, who prevailed in Malaysia in 2006.
Earlier, on Saturday, Antonelli became the youngest ever pole-sitter in F1 history.
