Pro Wrestling League 2026: Amit guides Maharashtra Kesari to a gritty win over Haryana Thunders
Amit held his nerve under intense pressure in the decisive bout to steer Maharashtra Kesari to a well-earned 5–4 victory over Haryana Thunders, handing the previously unbeaten side its first defeat of the season in Match 10 of the Pro Wrestling League 2026 on Friday, here at Noida Indoor Stadium.
With the tie locked at 4–4, Amit produced a composed performance in the 86kg men’s category, securing the win by a single point, lifting Kesari to the top of the standings with six points from four matches.
The Thunders made a blistering start through their captain Yui Susaki in the opening 53kg women’s category, where she forced a fall within 85 seconds to give her side a 1–0 lead.
The advantage doubled in the 74kg men’s contest as Parvinder delivered a Power Minute, landing a takedown-and-turn sequence to pull away late and secure a convincing 14–8 win.
Kesari opened its account in the heavyweight category through captain Robert Baran, who beat Anirudh Gulia 7–3, while Dudova Bilyana Zhivkova’s win against Iryna Koliadenko in the 62kg women’s levelled the tie..

Manisha Bhanvala — in the 57kg women’s category — secured a crucial takedown and edged Neha Sangwan 7–6 in the Power Minute to propel Kesari ahead. The gap widened when Tevanyan Vazgen Tumur beat Ochir Tulga 10-4, giving Kesari a 4-2 lead.
The Thunders came back into the contest with Ankush Chandram, who beat Sumit Malik 11-5 in the 57kg men’s tie while Kajal Dhochhak defeated Harshita Mor in the 76kg women’s bout to make it 4-4.
Amit then beat Ashirov Ashraf, the 2022 European Championship silver medallist, 6-5 to secure a well-fought win for Kesari.
