Deaflympics 2025: Dhanush wins air rifle gold, Murtaza Vania comes second to open India’s account
Dhanush Srikanth on Sunday opened India’s account at the Deaflympics in Tokyo with a gold medal and a world record to boot in the men’s air rifle event.
Srikanth’s 252.2 is the highest-ever score achieved by a deaf shooter in AR finals. Mohammed Murtaza Vania brought India more joy, finishing with a final score of 250.1 to grab the silver.
Korea’s Baek Seunghak had to settle for the bronze medal with a score of 223.6.
