World Para Athletics Championships 2025, October 1: Indian results and medals on Day 5


It was a medal-less day for the Indian contingent on Day 5 of the ongoing World Para Athletics Championships 2025 being held in New Delhi.

A total of six Indian athletes were in action on Wednesday at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, with two involved in finals of their respective events.

India has so far won nine medals (4G, 4S, 1B) and sits fourth on the medal standings of the tournament.

Men’s Discus Throw F57 Qualification – Priyans Kumar – 39.12m (Qualified for final)

Men’s Discus Throw F57 Qualification – Birbhadra Singh – 38.79m (Did not qualify for final)

Men’s 400m T47 Round 1 – Heat 2 – Dilip Mahadu Gavit – 48.20s (AS) (Qualified for final)

Men’s 400m T38 Final – Akira Nandan Banothu – 7th – 51.16s
