World Para Athletics Championships 2025: Sumit Antil claims gold with Championship Record in Men’s Javelin Throw F64


India’s Sumit Antil claimed gold with a Championship Record in the Men’s Javelin Throw F64 event at the World Para Athletics Championships 2025 in New Delhi on Tuesday.

Sumit, who holds the World Record (73.29m) in his F64 category, secured his third world championship gold with a throw of 71.37m which came in the fifth round. He bettered his own Championship Record of 70.83m from the 2023 edition held in Paris.

Pardeep Kumar, the other Indian in the fray, finished fifth with 42.72m.

Tomas Felipe Soto Mina (48.38m) of Colombia clinched silver while Kazakhstan’s Rufat Khabibullin (47.14m) bagged the bronze.
