China Masters 2025: P.V. Sindhu beats Pornpawee Chochuwong to enter quarters

Indian shuttler P.V. Sindhu booked her place in the quarterfinals of the China Masters Super 750 after defeating Thailand’s Pornpawee Chochuwong in Shenzhen on Thursday.

Sindhu wrapped up the match in straight games, winning 21-15, 21-15 in just 41 minutes.

“I’m happy for the win. I think it was very important for me to be alert from the start and give my 100 per cent and not make easy mistakes,” Sindhu said after the match.

Speaking on the value of a straight-games victory, she added, “It is very important to boost your confidence. But I think you also have to be prepared for long matches, irrespective of the games.”

“Whoever wins the first game or the second game, you have to be prepared for the longer matches, and you know, make sure that you’re quick on your feet every single time,” she said.
