World Athletics Championships 2025, Day 1: Indians in action, schedule, live streaming info


India will begin its campaign at the 2025 edition of the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo on Saturday with race walkers competing directly in the finals.

In the morning session, Ram Baboo, Sandeep Kumar and Priyanka Goswami will feature in the 35km race walk events.

In the evening session, Pooja will be running in the second heat of women’s 1500m.

India’s 19-member squad comprises of 14 men and five women across 15 events.

4 a.m. – Men’s 35km Race Walk – Ram Baboo, Sandeep Kumar

4 a.m. – Women’s 35km Race Walk – Priyanka Goswami

4:30 p.m. – Women’s 1500m, Heat 2 – Pooja
