The Pro Kabaddi League, now in its 12th season, will return to the four-city caravan model with a brand new structure and several rule changes. PKL 12 kicks off on August 29 at the Vishwanadh Sports Club in Visakhapatnam.
Tamil Thalaivas will be led by India captain Pawan Sehrawat, with star raider Arjun Deshwal named his deputy.

Strength: The experience and dynamism of India regulars Pawan and Arjun will boost Narender’s confidence, allowing him to raid with greater freedom. The side also benefits from a familiar defensive core.
Weakness: The lack of backup defenders is a major concern for the franchise, which missed the playoffs last season. Sagar’s injury record only adds to the uncertainty.
Tamil Thalaivas will open its Pro Kabaddi League 12 campaign against Telugu Titans in Visakhapatnam on August 29. The playoff schedule will be announced later.
