Sreeja Akula jumps to no. 42 in world rankings; G. Sathiyan rises to no. 68


Sreeja Akula has jumped four spots in the women’s singles rankings to no. 42, G. Sathiyan has risen three spots to world no. 68 in the men’s singles rankings.

Sreeja is the top-ranked Indian player in the women’s singles rankings. Manika Batra, the second-highest in the list, has dropped down two places to no. 55. Yashaswini Ghorpade has risen impressively by six places to no. 72, while Ayhika Mukherjee (no. 82) and Diya Chitale (no. 87) round out the Indians in the top 100.

Manav Thakkar remains the top-ranked Indian in the men’s singles at no. 43, while Sathiyan and Manush Shah (no. 71) have both risen up the rankings. Harmeet Desai (no. 82) is the other Indian in the top 100.

Ankur Bhattacharjee has also had an impressive rise, jumping twelve places to reach no. 143, just behind Payas Jain (no. 142), who has dropped ten places.
