Vishal TK breaks men’s 400m National Record during Inter-State Athletics Championships

Vishal TK of Tamil Nadu broke the men’s 400m National Record with a timing of 45.12s during the second day of the National Inter-State Senior Athletics Championships.

Vishal bettered the previous record which belonged to Muhammed Anas Yahiya (45.21s). He celebrated the feat by pulling out a piece of paper which read, “For my coach Jason.”

With this timing, the 23-year-old was able to clinch the gold in the final, beating Rajesh Ramesh, who managed a timing of 46.04. New Delhi’s Amoj Jacob ended with a ‘DNF’ to his name.
